The 2011 installment of the Canadian Professional Rodeo Association’s Finals concluded today with the 6th round in 5 days.\u00a0 A total of $197,500 was paid out in 6 events.\u00a0 Many of the cowboys and cowgirls earned more in the 5 days of rodeo than they did hauling all season.\u00a0 The results found at the Canadian Finals Rodeo site don’t show the aggregate results and payout so it makes it a bit difficult to report on what was officially paid out.<\/p>\n

We were able to catch a glimpse of the barrel racing payout thanks to LBR Director Randa Nugent.\u00a0 Lisa Lockhart won the average and was .06 away from winning the hole deal according my my quick math. \u00a0 Trula Churchill, won the last round when it counted most and added second place average money to her the $40,910,71 finals money and $27,092 year end money to win the Championship. Going into the last round, it was Trula, Lisa and Gaylene that were in the running. \u00a0 Interestingly enough they placed 1,2,3 in the round and their total earnings for the year placed them the same.\u00a0 Here’s a look:<\/p>\n
