{"id":859,"date":"2011-08-18T07:59:05","date_gmt":"2011-08-18T13:59:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.rodeoclassifieds.com\/blog\/?p=859"},"modified":"2011-08-18T08:06:26","modified_gmt":"2011-08-18T14:06:26","slug":"trainingrodeo-tips-from-the-champs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.rodeoclassifieds.com\/blog\/trainingrodeo-tips-from-the-champs\/","title":{"rendered":"Training\/Rodeo Tips From The Champs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We thought we would combine all of the training\/rodeo tips into one post that we got from all the Champs we have interviewed so far.\u00a0 Each and everyone had their own unique tip, we hope some of them inspire you, enjoy!<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Trula Churchill<\/strong> &#8211; <em><span style=\"color: #800000;\">&#8220;To not worry about others and what they are doing and what they are doing with their horses.\u00a0 You need to focus on and do what works for you and your own horse.&#8221;<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Melissa Harding<\/strong> &#8211;<em><span style=\"color: #008080;\"> &#8220;Be patient and listen to your horse, chances are if he isn&#8217;t working he&#8217;s trying to tell you something.&#8221;<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Bailey McCannell<\/strong> &#8211;<em><span style=\"color: #800080;\"> &#8220;For you to always keep working hard at what you want to do, to never stop trying and you will sooner or later get to where you want to be.&#8221;<\/span><\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Lee Ann Rust<\/strong> &#8211; <em><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">&#8220;You can&#8217;t dwell on what is behind you, you got to keep looking at what is ahead.&#8221;<\/span><\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Joleen Seitz<\/strong> &#8211; <em><span style=\"color: #800000;\">&#8220;Keep your chin up and be thankful for your horse.&#8221;<\/span><\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Deb Renger<\/strong> &#8211; <em><span style=\"color: #008080;\">&#8220;With ground conditions being crappy etc. don&#8217;t get frustrated and give up, keep going and trying.\u00a0 If you want to rodeo and do good no matter how bad things get (ground etc.) it always turns around and will work out if you hang in there and keep trying.\u00a0 You got to do what you need to do to help your horse in crappier situations whether it be changing your riding for poor ground conditions etc.&#8221;<\/span><\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Bailee Switzer<\/strong> &#8211; <em><span style=\"color: #800080;\">&#8220;I think if you can always have a positive attitude and focus on the positive aspects of your runs or life in general you are doing great.\u00a0 I also think we should always give our horses the benefit of the doubt.\u00a0 Not everyone is perfect 100% of the time, we all have off days and horses are no different.\u00a0 If something is really wrong we need to search for the answer our horse can&#8217;t put into words so they stay healthy, sound and happy.&#8221;<\/span><\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Kareen Warren<\/strong> &#8211; <em><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">&#8220;The biggest tip I would like to share is keep it simple.\u00a0 Horses are black or white.\u00a0 They don&#8217;t understand the grey zone.&#8221;<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Melissa Thiessen<\/strong><em><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> &#8211;<\/span> <\/span><span style=\"color: #800000;\">&#8220;Keep yourself and your horse happy.\u00a0 That is why we do this for fun and lots of people forget the fun part.&#8221;<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Julie Leggett &#8211;<\/strong> <span style=\"color: #008080;\"><em>&#8220;Focus on the big picture.\u00a0 Enjoy what you&#8217;re doing and your horse will enjoy his job.&#8221;<\/em><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We thought we would combine all of the training\/rodeo tips into one post that we got from all the Champs we have interviewed so far.\u00a0 Each and everyone had their own unique tip, we hope some of them inspire you, enjoy!
