The Miss Rodeo America Pageant has been underway in Vegas for the last while, but Tuesday night marked the first of official rodeo contestant activities. The contestants gathered for the WNFR Welcome Reception <\/a>where they received their back numbers, Resistol hats, official WNFR Jacket, ring and other gifts.<\/p>\n

2010 AQHA\/PRCA Horse of The Year Awards were previously announced, but the awards were given Wednesday December 1 at the PRCA Awards banquet.<\/p>\n

2010 AQHA\/PRCA\/WPRA Horses of the Year
Steer wrestling: 1. Dashs Dapper Star, \u201cWick,\u201d owned by Wade Sumpter and Ken Lewis and ridden by Sumpter, Lewis and Billy Bugenig; 2. Bailey Tokum, \u201cPump Jack,\u201d owned by Dean Gorsuch and Darrell Krampie and ridden by Gorsuch and Gabe Ledoux; 3. Rocks Eye Opener, \u201cJessie,\u201d owned by Lee Graves, ridden by Lee Graves and Trevor Knowles.<\/p>\n

Team roping (heading): 1. Ra Sonoita Silver, \u201cVegas,\u201d owned and ridden by Turtle Powell; 2. Precious Speck, \u201cWalt,\u201d owned and ridden by Travis Tryan (honored posthumously); 3. Bears Cash Partner, \u201cSyndicate,\u201d owned and ridden by Clay Tryan.<\/p>\n

Team roping (heeling): 1. Fine Snip of Doc, \u201cCave Man,\u201d owned and ridden by Jade Corkill; 2. Startime Diablo, \u201cSuper Star,\u201d owned and ridden by Travis Graves; 3. Baileys Copper Doc, \u201cDiesel,\u201d owned and ridden by Randon Adams.<\/p>\n

Tie-down roping: 1. Eightys Sport, \u201cSweetness,\u201d owned by Spur Resources 1, Ltd, and ridden by Clint Cooper, Houston Hutto, Timber Moore, George Rowland and Blair Burk; 2. Docs Hot Express, \u201cBig Iron,\u201d owned and ridden by Joseph Parsons; 3. Smokin Reata, \u201cReata,\u201d owned by O.L. \u201cBuck\u201d Daniel and ridden by Shane Hanchey.<\/p>\n

Steer roping: 1. Skips Harlan Tyree, \u201cPops,\u201d owned and ridden by Rocky Patterson; 2. White Hot Ike, \u201cBullseye,\u201d owned and ridden by Chance Kelton; 3. Tonk Champ, \u201cChamp,\u201d owned and ridden Chris Glover.<\/p>\n
