4D OPEN & SHORT GO FORMAT

– Day money payout for first go and short go
– No average payout
– Troy Fischer buckles for 1st place in each Open Division
– Top 5 and last hole from each division, along with ONE 
WILDCARD will come back for the short go….total of 25
– Short go will follow the Gents Barrel Race which will start at 7:30pm
– Whoever runs the closest to their first time will win BOLT 4 THE COLT

WILDCARD
– Each contestant will be given a 50/50 ticket (#) for every entry
– The ticket will have the horse’s name on it
– A random ticket will be drawn from the total number of entries and will receive a free pass to the short go
– If the ticket (#) that is drawn (horse & rider) has already qualified for the short go a new ticket (#) (horse & rider) will be drawn
– It is your responsibility to look after your ticket
– Ticket must be shown to Staff to qualify for the WILDCARD if not produced a new ticket will be drawn
– Draw will be done immediately following the OPEN

The WINNER of THE BOLT 4 THE COLT will be presented with a yearling gelding sired by Sonnys Hot Rum (Sonnys 00 Buck x Jess Ta Zansation) who stands at Leduc, AB and is owned by Ed Wedman (CrossBell Performance Horses) or the choice of a stallion service for 2016. This gorgeous bronze dun colored Foundation Quarter Horse stallion goes back to champions like SKIP ZAN PARR by ZAN PARR BAR. Zan Parr Bar is considered as the “COWBOY’S HORSE” in the Western Horseman’s LEGENDS book!!!!! 

– The gelding’s registered name is Aleda of Rum (Sonnys Hot Rum x Tinka Leda)

3D Gents Barrel Race

– Entry Fee $30.00

– Payout day money and 1st place in each division will receive a MAN GIFT

THERE WILL BE NO POOR SPORTSMANSHIP TOLERATED. PEOPLE WHO ARE FOUND ABUSING THEIR HORSE OR OTHER COMPETITORS WILL BE SCRATCHED AND ASKED TO LEAVE THE PROPERTY. IF THERE ARE ANY ISSUES PLEASE BRING IT TO THE ATTENTION OF THE EVENT HOSTS AND THEY WILL BE DEALT WITH ACCORDINGLY

RULES
-NO LOOSE DOGS – All dogs must be leashed or tied at trailer.
-No refunds of fees once fees are paid without vet release.
-No portable panels or tying horses to the trailers overnight is allowed, if stalls are available. We do not want our grass damaged.
-In the event that a tie occurs, there will be a run off to determine placing.
-Pants, hat/helmet, long sleeve shirt and boots (western attire) are required for run and awards. If no western attire worn at awards presentation, participant will give up their prizes and monetary awards. Will not be able to enter arena without western attire.
-Good sportsmanship is expected at all times. All contestants and their family members are expected to display good sportsmanship at all times. No level of abuse toward any animal at this event will be allowed. Foul language, misconduct or abusive comments spoken to any contestant, spectator, staff member or volunteer will result in immediate contestant disqualification and no refund of entry fees. Contestants are also responsible for traveling companions and family members. All decisions made by the Race Director are final.
-Times can be carried over from the open to youth and senior.
-Riders who think they have requested their time to carryover into a race class but have not properly filled out their entry form will be turned out if they do not run; the host will not change their run to a carryover unless the office staff has made a mistake.
-The rider must declare his or her intention to carryover when signing up for the first race.A rider may change from a carry-over to a ride (or the other way around) if they have not yet run in the class from which their time will carry AND the producer agrees to do it based upon the office workload at the time of the request.
-Running a horse out of draw position will result in disqualification. Horses will be entered into the race management system as indicated on the entry form. It is the rider’s responsibility to make any corrections within a reasonable amount of time.

Directions:
From Taber – turn north off hiway #3 at the case equipment dealer onto hiway #864. Turn east on township road 11-4, it is a dead end road, drive to the end. Watch for signs.

From the north – hiway #526 (Enchant hiway) then south towards Taber on hiway #864. Turn east on township road 11-4, it is a dead end road, drive to the end. Watch for signs.

From Vauxhall – turn west off hiway #36 onto township road 130. Drive past the golf course to the stop sign. Turn south on hiway #864. Turn east on township road 11-4, it is a dead end road, drive to the end. Watch for signs.

Youth (18 under) is a 3D format (.75 splits) and Open is 4D format with .5, .5, full second split. Youth entry is $25/Open is $50, pre-entry due Sept 7th!
