I use mine a ton! couln't live without it! I put colts on it, warm up horses on it and cool them down on it. It is such a time savor and so great for getting the energy off of the colts...the can buck and play on it and I use it for horses that need controled walking, post injury and soooo much more!

Re: Problems with Barrel Horse Bucking...any ideas?

Sorry Randa, I wasn't there but have to chuckle, since I have been there also, not at a barrel race but at a clinic. You get back on and try to work it out but that history sticks with you and you just don't trust that horse the same. It wasn't so bad when I was younger, at the track you hit the dir...

Re: Problems with Barrel Horse Bucking...any ideas?

Its very difficult to give this kind of advice over an email without seeing the horse. Find someone knowledgeable that can help you. Ask your vet about it , you will need to go thru a vet to get it anyway. I also have alot of luck with magnets and microcurrent therapy....

Re: Trying to find a saddle to suit me

Another thing to check is does your saddle fit your horse? I have on wide tree saddle and most of my horses don't have the shoulders to fill it out so it sits down in the front and makes it dificult to stay back. Also i find the higher cantle's like the 5" make it harder to stay back. I have on...

Re: Would appreciate your opinion!

I you second jb on the Doc o Lena and Tinky poo cross! I have a gelding bred this way and he is an outstanding athlete! Big horse, big bone and really ratey with a hug stride. I think the cross is so much personal preference and There are alot of great combinations but they are different styles. But...
