Re: Robo Cow ? Anyone have one

We have had one for a few years and have good luck with it so far. I had some problems with the remote last spring and they shipped me a new one for no charge. I have been happy with the service I received from them but have heard a few people complain about the service they have received recently.

Re: Calming Supplement- What do you use

I am looking for a calming supplement that can be used on an ongoing basis (not just for events but for training in general). Is brewers yeast good for this type of situation? Where in Canada can you purchase brewers yeast?

Thanks 8o)

Hoof Supplements

I have a five year old mare with thin hoof walls. Does anyone know of a good hoof supplement or topical product that works well on strengthening/building hooves? :Sun:

Cheyenne Shorty Horses

Just wondering if anyone out there has had any experience with Cheyenne Shorty horses (he used to stand at Bamber Stock Farms by Cold Lake). Any information you have on them would be greatly appreciated. :)

Re: Iconoclast Boots

Thanks for the clarification Melissa. I think I will go with the orthopedic boots as they sound like they will best suit my horses needs.

Iconoclast Boots

I have a gelding that had some tendon and ligament issues last summer. I went through the rehab process with him over the course of 3-4 months and he is now sound and I am riding him again. I would like to put him back into full time training but want to do what I can to prevent him from reinjuring ...

Irvine Brand All Around Saddles

I was in Irvine's over the holidays and noticed that they have quite a few Irvine Brand all around saddles. I have been looking for a saddle I can rope and barrel race in and these saddles look like they would work well for both. Has anyone had any experience with these saddles? I am looking for inf...

Saddle Pads

I have a six year old mare that has a fairly defined wither and quite a bit of muscling on either side of her withers and on top of her scapula. I have a fairly wide Teskey barrel saddle that seems to fit her well everywhere except on either side of her wither where it is leaving dry marks and rubbe...

Stall Rest

I have a gelding with a torn suspensory that has been put on small pen rest for a minimum of 2 months. We are only into week 3 and he is already going crazy with boredom. I am worried that he is going to hurt himself more because he is so bored and is starting to try to play around in his pen even t...

Best Vets For Lameness Issues

Looking for some advice… I have an 8 year old AQHA gelding that has been sore (not really lame just off) since the middle of September on his right front. I have had him worked on (massage and chiropractic adjustment) and have had x-rays taken by our local vet (they showed nothing) but he is still s...

Glucosamine and Joint Supplements

I am just wondering what people are using for joint supplements. Are you using oral supplements or injected and what kind of luck have you had with each? I am trying to do some research into what products are the most effective so I am not wasting my money on a product that is not helping my horses....

Re: Adequan, Ichon, Recovery, oh my...

I did the full Adequan program (seven shots) on my 15 year old mare two years ago and have followed up with Adequan shots once a month after that and am really happy with the results. I have also been feeding her a glucosamine supplement but find it hard to always make sure she is getting the supple...

Barrel Racing Bits

I am looking for another bit to run my mare in. She is a seasoned barrel horse as I have been running her for just about ten years. I ran her to the right for a number of years and the then about three years ago switched her to the left as she was starting to cheat on her pattern. Switching the way ...

Re: Advice/costs on AI

I had two mares AI'd last year to a saskatchewan stud. The vet costs really seem to vary depending on your location and your vets fees as it only cost me $250/mare to get mine bred. I also found it easiest to keep the mare at the vets when it gets close to the time she will be ready to breed as it i...
