If they want that they should just come to the canadian futurities, in the sense that most are on an average. I hope (also doubt) that any of the organizers would co-sanction with the WPRA. I hope it flops!

i agree with Dustin. As a guy the goal is to futurity. Also the 4 year old futurity's worked up here for many years. I dont agree that running them as 4 year olds means they dont last, alot of good NFR horses were run as 4 year olds (Bozo, Llavee, Bumper, Magic) and they ran for many years. A good ...

 Gosh looks like I am out numbered! HHHEEELLPP  I suppose my opinion has something to do with me being a dude and I have no place to take them when their done other then the broodmare pen. Perhaps because the "futurity" business is not as big here and the majority of the riders are girls...

Re: futurity age

I would like to see everyone stay at 5 years old. I think it takes a lot of pressure off the young horses. For many reasons the trainers won out down south and they changed the age back to 4 years olds at some futurities. One of the reasons the trainers had was the cost of having a colt stand aroun...

Re: futurity clinic

How about this imaginary senario..... Have a 2 day clinic at Raylee's arena?????? with Rayel, Lynette, Buffy, Isy, Raylee and any one else you would like to approach. Take 20 - 25 students and have the money go towards year end prizes for the Canadian Barrel Futurity and Derbys. It might be hard to...

Hi I Like this idea. I had thought about it a few years now, nice to know that others are intrested. The thing is who do you get? Crumrine, Bauserman, Green Bros., Rayel Robinson?? Who? And do you limit it to say 10 riders? And what really would be so different then any other clinic? Would it just b...
