on the membership form that you fill out it says you can not compete at added money jackpots with a permit.

I bought my permit, only to find out then I am not allowed to attend any added money barrel races....so I had to send another $70

I just bought a Lisa Lockhart - it is awesome! comes in 3 different widths, and keeps you neutral. Keeps your feet underneath you - not way behind or way ahead.

When picking a trainer, go with someones style that you would suit. It will be an easier transition for both you and your horse when you get him back and want to continue. There are several good trainers in Alberta.... Randa Nugent, Brook Robertson, Rusty Quam, Kirsty White.....they all do a great j...

It is the next saddle I want to try, it is very similar to the old Marlene Eddlemans by Circle Y, that I love. Traci MacDonald has one, they look great!

Big Money brings Big Players, I think we have seen a ripple affect from the Americans coming up here - all through to the amateurs. If I wanted to go to more rodeos I probably would turn my card in and go on my young horse, but we are so fortunate that rodeo isn't the only place we have to compete, ...

The girls that are sitting in the top of either standings - that is their job - being a barrel racer or horse trainer and that is their everyday life. Interesting topic, I think the Cowboys events are quite a bit different then ours. So much of ours depends on the horse we are riding. To say you are not a professional anymore because we may be riding a young horse is quite questionable. Makes me wonder what all my years of experience stacks up to?...
