Re: Slow Feed Hay Nets

I haven't bought the round bale ones but we did buy the square bale nets and they were awesome for rodeos!!! Wayyy less waste! Easy to fill too. We are buying the round bale ones this winter and I believe my boyfriend contacted Trina Marshall from the Brooks area because she sells them. If you choos...

Re: Hips going out

I bought mine from Kathy Slade from Lestock, SK. She is the only dealer that I have heard of in Canada. I believe it's about $200 for a jug and that lasts a few months. I have had 2 horses on it for a couple of months and it's not even half gone.

Re: Hips going out

I used to have a lot of trouble with my barrel horses hips constantly going out and it basically came down to his hocks. They were sore so therefore he wasn't using himself properly and wasn't turning and getting in the ground and instead his back end was bouncing and kept popping his hips out. I pu...

Re: High strung horse

If you google Riva's Remedies they have a product called Cool-Aid that is just a liquid. You can give them some a bit before you ride and it helps to just calm nerves and anything like that.

Re: Suppliments

I'm also in love with Silver Lining Herbs! I used the INF-X on a horse that had some tendon and muscle swelling and seen immediate results. I have probably used about 4-5 of the different herbs and everyone of them has helped. I don't put them on it year round but I do put them on it when I see prob...

Swollen leg

I have a 4 year old that weaved his back leg through a rod fence and injured it. If you look at it, it just looks like he took a bunch of hair off. I wasn't there when it happened so my bf just buted him to take a bit of pain away for the day and he cold hosed it to help with swelling. It's been a m...

Re: Bad Cough, what to do?

If you are dead set on taking him, I would highly recommend respi-free by omega alpha to get rid of the cough. You just give him some before you ride and it helps to open up their airways and get them breathing easier. Plus you don't have to give it to him at set times or daily. I have a horse that ...

Re: treating ulcers

I have been told by my vet to actually shoot yogurt down their mouth and if you find that it helps within the first couple days then it's usually a sign of ulcers. It's not a definite fix but if you don't want to spend hundreds right off the bat it's a good idea. I gave my 4 year old (track horse) y...

Re: Hair loss in clumps leaving toatally bald spots...?

We also had this happen 2 winters ago to my bf's good rope horse and we came to the conclusion it was an immune deficientcy and put him on Omega Alpha biotic and added some other natural stuff to help him fight it and build his immunity back up and within 2 weeks he was growing hair back and looked ...

Teeth grinding

I have a 3 year old that I got off the track and he's not the typical "track" horse. He's an absolute sweetheart and extremely mellow. The only problem is he grinds his teeth so hard that his gums bleed. He only grinds when i'm riding or just sitting on him and it's constant. I have change...

Were the hair products in her carry on or in her checked bag? I know in a carry on your only allowed like 100 ml or something like that. Basically 2 lip glosses. But the checked bag your allowed however much you want. We just went to Vegas and I had packed A LOT of hair products and my shampoo bottl...

Re: Bad little bucker

I actually did have someone talk to him and he said he loves me, he absolutely HATES my bf... with a passion! It's kinda funny. He wants to try his hardest for me but he didn't say anything about pain. I am going to get his teeth looked at though because the last person that did it was a vet and he'...
