On the front of the manifest books it is listed in bold print to contact your local LIS field office to arrange to have your cattle and horses inspected and a livestock permit or special permit issued prior to transporting the livestock out of Alberta

You also have to have your horse brand inspected and permitted to leave the province before it leaves.

On hwy 43 on the south side of the highway. There is a blue sign before you come to the turnoff. They are not in the town of debolt.

Last year I had a hard keeping brood mare as well. I fed her grain with tizwhiz mare ration from UFA. I was very happy with the results I got from it. It wasn't a very long time before she and her colt were blooming again.

Any horse leaving the province of Alberta needs to brand inspected on permitted. You can get yearly or lifetime permits for you horse if you are consistently hauling the same horses back and forth. Contact your local brand inspection office for details.

Any person that applies a unregistered brand can be subject to a fine. And age or number branding is supposed to be applied to the same side of the animal, that the owners registered brand is on, but on a different location.
