Re: Calf roping stirrups

My husband had Kenton at Ocean Front Saddlery make some for him and he is very happy with them. 403-224-3060 is his number.

Re: Bot Egg Removal

I like to use a grooming brick... you can find them at some tack stores, and they work like a charm.

Re: Repo. Vets in Central Alberta

I've heard good things about Chad Hewlett at Energy Equine in Carstairs. I've never had a mare bred, but he is so great to deal with on lameness issues as he is very easy to talk to and knows his stuff! He's is definitely my first pick, and I've found him to be a little cheaper than Moore & Co a...

Re: Equine Dentist

Allie Lait just did ours yesterday and she's fantastic. She is great with the horses, and very informative to listen to while she does them. I will definitely be going back to her in the future. I totally agree with you! Allie does a wonderful job and very knowledgeable! Highly recommend her! Whats...

Seabuck is also a great product and you will see a difference in your whole horse. My husband took it for a while and said he felt 10 years younger!

Re: Navicular

We managed a navicular gelding using Silver Lining Herbs "Foot&Bone", and "Kidney" ona daily basis. He went from needing his feet injected ever 3-4 months, to being injection free. I would also suggest using turmeric (a spice found at the grocery store) to help reduce infamma...

Re: Feed Question

I agree with the beet pulp, but I would add 2 tbsp milled flax seed to it, a good splash of canola oil, and whatever other supplements she's already on. Also, feed the beet pulp morning and night for best results- we use a solo cup to measure and our old boy gets a cup and a half, soaked, morning an...

Re: Respiratory Supplement

My horse got quite sick in August and had quite a cough. After having the vet check him out and a couple weeks of meds he still had quite a dry cough when he would work at all. I used Omega Alpha Respi-Free to help him with it when I rode but that started to get expensive so I switched him to the Si...

Re: Irvines brand roping saddles - looking for feedback

In my experience they haven't been very high quality, and I've heard a few stories of twisted trees. Personally, I would look for a good used one if it were me.

Any idea what size a 15.3-16 hh horse with pretty good bone would wear?
