Help with Stringhalt

I have an older horse with what we are thinking is stringhalt. Can anyone recommend something that we can add to his diet besides vit. E.?
Or other suggestions we could try?
It is a mild case of stringhalt

Thanks

mane event- Red Deer

The Trainers were Steve Rothers, Ray Lochert, Jay O'Jay. Hope I spelled their names right. They were great. Steve was a real entertainer as well as a great horse trainer. I actually just found out Steve Rothers did win. Jay O'Jay rode his horse through the course and Ray Lochert did not ride as his ...

I have a horse with a bad shoulder and we give him glucosamine (sp) and MSM. It worked great. When he is one the stuff he does not even limp. I only used it for the summer when we use him more often.

Yes I have wormed him in the last 2 weeks or so. I am hoping he is just itching his butt. He has had a blanket on him all winter. Finally it is nice out this week so I have taken his blanket off of him, maybe that will help too.

My horse has started rubbing his butt on the fence and has actually made himself raw in between his legs. Is this a sign of something wrong? Or is he just itching himself???
