Contact info

There is a girl with a cowboy classic saddle for sale on a site local to cardston however, there is no contact info. I'm not sure if the add is even current as I was just googling that type of saddle as it is one I want to try on my mare. Anyway if anyone knows of this girl and if she still has the ...

Re: Brokerage fees

Oh, I'm sorry I re-read my post and yes USPS is the postal service, I had them backwards that day for some reason. Sorry for the confusion! But it is by far the cheaper shipping route. I've had no trouble tracking my saddles using USPS. There is a bar code number on the invoice from the post office,...

Re: Brokerage fees

I'm sure I've been charged brokerage fees by all three however, UPS just straight thought the mail is the cheapest shipping option, second option for me would be the FedEx and then USPS. USPS was very expensive the time I used it as at least three different shipping companies moved that saddle and I...

Re: ABRA Jackpots - Membership required

According to ABRA's Facebook page, the $30 permit covers insurance costs for you at ABRA events and thus the ABRA has coverage and protection from anyone suing them who enters ABRA events. Because it is ABRA added money they want only full members to be elidgeble to compete for this money. Apparentl...

Re: ABRA Jackpots - Membership required

Amen cowgirlup, I completely agree!! On the ABRA's facebook page they emphatically state that ALL jackpots are to follow their rules, regardless of where the host arena is located. So most hosts were stating that to get around people needing both associations membership, they plan to alternate appro...

Re: ABRA Jackpots - Membership required

I wondered if they would do that with the added money jackpots, good to know, thanks MPowell. Can you still pay the extra fee or you have to have the full ABRA card? Really feeling pigeon holed into giving an organization money that in my opinion has forgotten its roots of origin; to provide an affo...

Re: ABRA Jackpots - Membership required

You've got a point caahausauer. We will HAVE to get our permits so that we can go to jackpots, even to just finish the series we have been going to all summer, and at least we won't have to pay that added money fee and sign the waiver at every jackpot ;)!!

Re: ABRA Jackpots - Membership required

So upset I don't even know what to write!!! The ABRA was started as an organization for families to be able to go together and have fun. Now to even get to barrel race we are expected to dish out $175 dollars for myself and thank goodness I only have one child, that's a good chunk of change I don't ...

Re: Cheyenne Shorty Horses

What is it that you are wanting to know? Beckers summed up alot. They are sensitive horses, when crossed on some hotter blood mares they are very sensitive and prone to being hot, when crossed on the cooler blood mares they are very trainable. Re: Bison horse trailers

Bison has different lines within their trailers that are different qualities, I would recommend that you go with the all aluminum line, but this is their most expensive. The others are made with a combo of steel and aluminum and then you run into corrosion problems. I would rate the lower lines a 4,...

Re: Saddle to fit wide shouldered horse

Irvines bring up Martin reps on occasion. I would contact them Terry, and see if they have plans on bringing one up sometime soon. The other alternative is find someone else who is successful in getting their Martin to fit, help you out. On a side note, there is more to saddle fit than gullet width!...

Glue on Shoes

I'm looking for a farrier that is experienced with glue on shoes as it looks like that is the route I need to take for my gelding. Would prefer if they are willing to travel to me or at least in north to central alberta, I am near Bonnyville.
Thanks in advance for any help!
