Horse Transportation to US info

Can somebody please educate me a little on the requirements for delivery of horses to US across border. I am certainly aware of the coggins tests and health papers that are required, but are there any other requirements, stipulations? Also, does anybody know of any horse delivery or transportation s...

LQ Trailers w/ Slideouts - Yes or No?

Looking at possibly aquiring a new trailer this year w/ LQ. Have a young family that is definately interested in the equine world and will probably spend a lot of time for extracaricular activities with the horses and travelling. Was wanting to hear the opinions of people with LQ horsetrailers with ...

Re: Honor Lady Bug

I know there are a lot of sucessful Honor Lady Bug offspring out there, and Honor Lady Bug is now gone (correct me if i'm wrong).
So just curious to know if anybody knows of any other Honor Lady Bug offspring that are still stallions at all?
I am curious to know what is left around for horses by him.

Re: Embryo Transfers in Alberta

it's a crap shoot if your recip mare is on the same cycle as your donor mare in order to be able to use your own recip mare other wise you have to try to cycle your recip mare to line up on the same cylce (by lapse of a day or so i think if i remember correctly) to make the process have any chance o...

Re: Appendix vs Quarterhorse

Just to set things straight, once the appendix mare gets her official AQHA yellow papers, then she is always a official quarter horse and all her foals are official quarter horses. My mistake, your right, when they get their appendix papers they are still official quarter horse. Been a long time si...

Re: Appendix vs Quarterhorse

Just to comment, Honor Lady Bug was also a 3ry old cutting champion before he came on to prove well in the barrel racing industry. Goes to show that they don't all have to be full "quarterhorse" to do what quarterhorses do or to be accomplished at the "quarterhorse" disciplines. ...

Help / Questions for arena panels and paddock set ups

We are moving and looking to set up a new outdoor arena system with roping chutes and return, as well as setting up paddocks and a holding pens system and maybe shelters or shed rows with space to build a barn and maybe even an indoor arena in the future. I would like to use pipe product for the sak...

Re: what can you tell me about Jet Deck and Top Moon

Top Deck was probably the closest equivalent to Three Bars in the QH production worl and how he influenced, however he was never raced liked Three Bars was. Top Deck produced Rebel Cause, Go Man Go, and Moon Deck among others. Moon Deck produced both Top Moon and Jet Deck among others. Jet Deck prod...

Re: Help: looking for horse boarding - Grande Prairie

Our friend has already tried PARDS - they are asking for coggins. I can understand a vet check and/or health clearance, but coggins? and it''s only good for 60 days anyhow, and I am only familiar with it ever being requried for crossing borders/countries. Not worried about the mare getting tested, b...

Help: looking for horse boarding - Grande Prairie

We need help finding a place for a friend to board her horse in the Grande Prairie area. We have been boarding a horse for a friend of ours for the past few years. A horse that we originally sold to her. She is now moving to Grande Prairie this summer with her husband due to job relocation and she i...

Re: HI-Qual continous fence

I have put up quite a bit of this fence aroud my place. It is okay for horses, but is light guage and I don't think would be very good for cattle as they could bend it quite easy. It is good to put up if you have flat ground as the panels go together quite easy, but you have to make sure you place a...

Re: Rescue Remedy for Horses

We use it on our horses from time to time and find that it does seem to help. If you have the bottle with the "eye dropper" in it you can just give them about about 4 or 5 drops, or a small squirt, orally just like worming them just under their tounge on their gums in the "bit" a...
