Nutritionist

Is there still an equine nutritionist on here? I know I spoke to one once a long time ago. If so can you PM me about a diet for two elderly geldings. TIA.

Re: Bringing in U.S. Clinician

There's clinicians to learn from, from BOTH countries. If you don't want to go to a clinic taught by an American Maxine, then don't! Don't attack those of us who do. And last time I checked ALL rodeo event clinics are overpriced, including the clinicians in our backyards. My best friend attends dres...

Re: CINCHES

LOVE LOVE LOVE my Alpaca cinch. Will never go back. Worth the money. Although I believe they may only come in a roper cinch. That is what I prefer, more comfortable for the horse.

Re: WINTER BLANKETS

I love my gladiator. Was reasonably priced, two of the guys who live with the guy who wears it, love to rip blankets off him, and so far so good. Very tough. Can't believe I paid what I did for the quality it is. Definitely saving up for two more.

Slow Feed Hay Nets

Thinking of purchasing a round bale hay net for the winter. Which brand do people find to be the best? How hard is it to put the bale into? Divorce material or not so bad? :) Once its on and we go to transfer it into the feeder will our bale spear rip it? Thanks for any info. My husband swears at a ...

Re: Bot Egg Removal

Definitely a bot knife!! They are only a couple bucks. I used to use sand paper bricks, razors etc until my English friend told me to get a bot knife. I don't think they are as common in the western world.

Thanks! Where do you buy it? The store locator on their website isn't jiving with Canada. Is it an oral liquid?

Hips going out

I have a gelding who keeps having issues with his hips. Going up or down any sort of hill seems to trigger it most of the time. He doesn't appear to be in pain, just off. He just came home from a month of training, and was fine the whole month under fairly hard work (in an arena). We have a little c...

Re: new feed program

I feed the step right feeds from viterra as well. I don't get them from UFA, but I know my UFA carries one of them, so i'm assuming its available to them. I feed my old guy the senior, its the only thing that's put weight on him. And my younger guys in regular exercise get the complete, I used to fe...

NFR & CFR

I am clueless about this, so don't laugh! :-) Wondering when people begin to buy tickets for these rodeos? Are they available already? Where is the best place to purchase them through? And what is the average cost of a ticket to one performance of each? I have heard for Vegas you can buy packages th...

Re: Saddle to fit wide shouldered horse

With my very wide gelding with not much wither, the best fit I found was a Charmayne by Cactus with a 7 inch gullet. I think I could have gotten away with a 7 inch Crown C, with the right pad. 7.5 inch Martin would have been ideal, but I never tried one on. Good luck!
