Re: VENTIPULMIN or intraTRACHEAL drugs

k2farms, this so sounds like my lil brown horse. Almost the same story on him, except he will also cough when I kick him, either in a run or if I'm tuning on him. Haven't tried the ventipulmin yet.

Re: size of saddle for 7 year old girl?

I have my 8 yr old in a 12", she's tall & thin. She's rode this saddle for a couple yrs now and it's just starting to fit her well. Have my 6 yr old in a 10" and she'll probably fit it 1 more yr.

Re: Coutts and Foremost Questions.....

All east and south of Lethbridge has had rain warnings for 2 days, so, we are pretty much under water here. Leah says Coutts is good wet, it usually pours for the rodeo, but we've had a frickin monsoon this year. Foremost is a hard arena, so could be standing water or a lake.

Re: What color is this filly?

Looks to me like she has the dun gene. I have a yearling that changed color 3 times last year and finally reg her as a dun. Black mane/tail, dorsal stripe, zebra stripes and transverse lines on withers. Her body was cremello, then grey, then finally settled on a lite gingery color. Kept her black po...

Re: Givemalicken horses

I have a 9 yr old grandson by him and he's very cool. I've had him a year and he's running tough. He does poles and SOME gymkhana events, lol. As a young horse, I guess, this guy was a rebel(bronc). He had one last chance to get it right or he was a goner. He is very intelligent, athletic and stubbo...

Luv what jb said! Keep him guessing, as he was at one point very good at his job. Good luck, you sound like you will spend some serious time on this guy.

Re: Info on Navicular

IF your horse is Navic, I agree with Randa on more opinions, my hubby is a therapeutic shoer and I can give some suggestions. We have also had a few of our own that we have maintained ourselves. These are jmo and tried/true for my hubby. Your farrier needs to take the toe back as far as posiible, ta...

Re: Arthritic Dogs

We use pureform GHCL for horses on our dogs. 1/4 -1/2 tsp. It took about 3 weeks to see a difference and then old Coke was not limping and was running and playing like a pup. I think you even have an in to get some at a pretty reasonable rate, lol.

Re: Exhibition Runs during South Country Barrels

Randa, how big is the arena in Gillette versus Cardston? I personally think 10 horses is too many for Cardston, but the idea is awsome! I agree with it totally, so that you don't feel the need to rush your work. Great job Randa and Monica 8o)
