Re: Types of barrel Saddles, and costs??

I have an older Frontier and LOVE it. I ordered another brand for price and think the quality of the Frontier is the best around. They do have a price tag, but I would definately buy another when needed. Mine still looks pretty good and it fits me perfect, even thru 3 babies. Have many options when ...

Re: Dena Kirkpatrick or Sue Smith??

I took the Sue clinic last spring in Cardston and really feel I took home alot from it. Very easy to understand as she explains everything in layman terms. Lots of pattern work.

Re: Not a truck...not a car

We have a 2008 Jeep Patriot and really like it. It is good on fuel and has enuff room for the 5 of us. It IS a Jeep and the interier is not great and it has a bit of road noise. Not a pricey vehicle, so ya get what ya pay for too.

Re: Gate Issues

I agree with Cisco on keeping them moving. i also do alot of alley work at jp's. During a rake I'll ride in the alley as far as i can and sit there for a few. I also try to get off after my run in the alley and loosen off and take boots off. jmo

I also use sweet feed when needed to get these picky ones to eat any weird stuff. Usually the ACV will cover it, but some know your trying to 'kill' them.

Re: Horse Shoes??

We shoe from spring 'till the end of the rodeo season. Not all our horses need shod and not all can go without shoes, but alot of the time you don't know where you are gonna have to warm up. We ride and compete all winter, but pull the shoes before it freezes so the poor biggars can get some kind of...

I really like the Hoffmans Ration. Fed it to an 8 yr old that just needed a weight boost. I did pump him up on flax & soy pellets for awhile too. Still have him on the flax with the ration.
