Re: Best Saddle Pads

Talking with a lot of people Ive grown some opinions on a few pads! Wade Pad - Nice looking, some really like it, others do not. Some are complaining that they are too stiff and are rubbing their horses. They are also kinda pricey. I thought about the 3000 series with having all the memory foams et...

Re: Times at Finals

It depends which event you are timing and probably which association you are asking about. For CCA/MRCA/Chinook When timing events that are to the 10th, example 10.1 any additional digits on the stop watch are ignored or dropped, never rounded. The 2 times are averaged, with the favor always going ...

Re: Times at Finals

The electric eye (which should be wired into the scoreboard) is the official time. The hand times or "manual times" (average times of the two stopwatch times) is the back up. The hand times are used if the "electric" timer fails. If the electric eye misses more than 1/2 the total...

Re: Futurity/Derby Horse

A derby horse does not have any prior competition rules, so can compete in the derby up to 7 years old, no matter when they started being competed on. There are some people who do not wait to compete on their horses until they are 4 or 5. I have seen a couple of horses compete in the derby as a 4,5...

Re: Long Term Ulcer Control

Long term use of Omperazole can cause brittle bones. There is no reason you have to keep them on it once they are healed. There are a lot of different products to prevent and maintain horses that have had or are prone to get ulcers. I have had great success with the Oxy-Max and Jail Break from the ...

Re: Canadian pro rodeo and American competitors

Ok I have to ask why anyone would want to sue an association? If it's really important to you to run at an LRA rodeo then why not drop back to a semi pro card? On a semi pro card you can still compete at all the major pro rodeos and are free to compete at ammy rodeos. If you opened up these associa...

Re: Canadian pro rodeo and American competitors

That is interesting to know that about the MRCA. But it is based on your level of competition NOT where you reside which is what is being suggested here. This is true Has anyone every contested it? Not that I'm aware of, but I'm not on the board And why just the timed events? Not on the board, but ...

Re: Canadian pro rodeo and American competitors

Randa do we follow most of the WPRA rules?? if we do and they make the rule to do random drug testing , I m hoping we follow suit with the WPRA That is a whole other topic!! Who is going to pay for the testing? I honestly think that we should let the WPRA do it first and if they so chose to do it a...
