Helping Your Mature Horse Stay Sound Longer

Postby Dreamchaser » Wed Dec 21, 2005 12:29 pm

Since you guys are talking about Adequan I was wondering how many of you use stuff like that or Legend? I have a quarter horse who will be turning 14 this spring and I would like to give him all the help he can get. His previous owner had used him pretty hard and his knees are not the prettiest.. :)
I had him on Glucosamine Plus this past summer and I was thinking of using it again for next season but was also considering getting a him a shot of Legend IV.
I have used straight MSN in the past on different horses and didn't see any improvements at all - just a lighter wallet. LOL
Also what is the most common treament for soreness and inflammation? Butazone? Something better?
Thanks,
Mary-Anne
