Sherry Cervi and Stingray

Postby silverdew_farms » Mon Dec 14, 2009 10:17 am

Does anyone know how Stingray is bred??? I just love the style of that horse. Also, how tall is she? She looked very little, either Sherry is really tall or Stingray is small. Thanks!

I think Stingray is 15H and Sherry is pretty tall.

I was fortunate to have Kelly Kaminski introduce me to Sherry at the WNFR, she said that Stingray is 14.2, and Sherry is 6'. So much for the height factor.

** Just wanted to add that Stingrays Daddy - Dinero is a full brother to the great "Bozo" of Kristy Peterson's. You gotta love Doc Bar's!!

Stingray may have a similar style to Hawk because their dams were 3/4 sisters.

That team had to be my favourite to watch at the finals. Stingray has a great style, she never "hangs up" around the barrels, she is always hustling. Dinero runs like that as well. Sherry is so quiet and just helps Stingray along without getting in her way. And palominos always look so flashy running barrels. Cant wait to see more from this pair.

This was the year for Dinero babies at the finals - Sherry's 'Stingray', Tammy Fischer's 'Money', Todd Suhn' s 'Max', and Dinero himself in the 5'th or 6'th round - when Tammy Fischer was trying to shake it up. Also - Frenchmans Fabulous had a mare in the bulldogging (Blake Knowles). Frenchman's Fab is a 7/8 brother to Dinero - out of the same mare. Tiffany Fox also qualified on a Sun Frost mare (same sire as Dinero).

Tough to deny that Sun Frost/Caseys Charm cross. Great horses.
