Help with Pricing a Broodmare???

Postby crazylegs » Wed Jun 02, 2010 3:40 pm

So I tend to get annoyed when people overprice their horses....but I dont want to get shortchanged either   ...so I'm looking for advice on what a broodmare is worth these days.
Cheers! Dana

Horses are worth what someone is willing to pay today, and it's a wide and varied range :) Having a look through some of the horse publications and sale results will give a good indication of what different bloodlines are going for -but it's entirely subjective! Promotion works - a good picture and good description in an ad does work :)

depends on her age, papers..in foal or not, i have seen some anywhere from 700.00 and up...i personally would like a couple good mares but i am super fussy, i want a specific color (for my palimino stud), breedlines(run cause he's doc bar/coys bonanza) and not older than 13...and seems they are anywhere from 1800 and up. so really it depends on if you have what someone wants :|
