Horse Chiropracter or Massage

Postby doublek » Mon Apr 11, 2011 9:05 pm

I'm seraching for a VERY good person to work on a horse for me. He's our main ranch horse and my kids horse and he's very sore in the backhind and we really think he needs a lot of work in that area, he fell bad this summer in a gopher hole and just has not recovered from it. Were willing to travel a long ways to get this big guy worked on so miles is not an issue for us. Any recommendations would be great! Thanks.

I second Roger! He does amazing work and travels all over the place, so im sure he can meet you somewhat close to your place.

Did you have him to a good horse vet to rule out that there might be something more than Chiro and muscle happening?
Elaine Hardstaff at Lloydminster does the infrared light, massage and small adjustments, she is amazing and you generally can leave your horse there if he needs multiple treatments.
Roger is good.
Lots of girls in the Lloyd area get a Deana Niawa (sp) and say she is really good.
Tiffrah Gonie (sp) from Meadow Lake is good.

yes he's been to a vet, after he fell he lost a lot of weight and the vets could find nothing wrong with him and just said rest but it's been a long time, going on a year with no improvements. We put him on herbs for weight and condition lost and that as all picked up for him and he looks great that way. We have had him worked on by a massage person 3 times now and he improves but then it just seems like it's not enough and he gets sore again, like it's more then muscle that needs work, something is popped out in his hip. His hips are very uneven and the one leg he has a hard tim lifting up. So I think he's a horse that will need a lot of treatments for a full recovery.
I have tried to contact Deanna but had no luck would anyone else know her number? I have used her many times before but since moving I lost contact with her. We also used Dan Martin but since he moved to G.P we can't find any contact info on him. Would anyone have contact for Roger Lewis and any of the others mentioned? I have not tired them before, I'm at maidstone so a couple are closer by for us to give a try. Then we are traveling to Olds on firday, if there is anyone good ones further south as well that are recommended. Thanks everyone for the help!!

I use Shantel Perreal from Fort Sask, she is the best equine chiro I've ever dealt with. Her # is 780-231-9155
