I am looking for a calming supplement that can be used on an ongoing basis (not just for events but for training in general). Is brewers yeast good for this type of situation? Where in Canada can you purchase brewers yeast?

Thanks 8o)

Brewers yeast isn't itself a calmer. It does however contain B vitamins that are helpful in replenishing the B vitamins that are "lost" due to stress. You can find it at any health food store. Some "calming" herbs that can be used are chamomile, vervain, lemon balm, hops, passion flower, valerian. Again you should be able to find these at your local health food store and hopefully they sell bulk bags. But I don't believe in using anything too long term. Try using one herb for a month of two and then you should be able to start "weaning" off.

I just switched all my horses to SharpEdge products made by Tracy Sharpe.
She can work with you to customize the right product for your stud.
I put both my futurity horses on Focus (I was wanting some sort of calmer while they are in training/hauling mode to keep them calm and focused).

You can only have one thought at a time, will it be positive or negative?
