Jackpots

Postby twofastandfurious » Tue Feb 05, 2008 2:24 pm

Just was wondering, if there was a Open Jackpot with added money and prizes, not sanctioned with Turn Burn Earn, ABRA, or BRND would you still go or would you only go if was sanctioned?

Thinking about putting one on and wanted some opinions.

Thanks

I'd definately go to an added money jackpot.
I don't care if it is sanctioned by anyone or not.

Where would this jackpot be at? Hopefully within my travel radius

Just say when and where!

Personnally, whether a jackpot is sanctioned or not doesn't matter to me anymore. There are so many more barrel racers out there now than there was say 10 years ago thanks to the ABRA and other organizations like it that most events follow the same basic guidelines regarding ground condition, pattern sizes etc.

I haven't bought a membership the last couple years because I wasn't planning on going to the finals (ABRA). I am not sure what it would take for me to buy a membership again, but I find there is no shortage of jackpots to attend membership required or not.

I think when there is added money barrelracers come from all over. It doesn't usually matter what it is in sanction with if there is added money they just seem to come. :-D

I'd be in for sure. Who sanctions them means nothing to me. :-D

Look at the success of events like the Can Chaser Challenge in Pasco last year. If you have good ground, good money and good prizes.... we're in!

8o) If it is within travelling distance, good ground, and enough added money i am in whether it is sanctioned or not. If you don't have sanctioning you do need to check into insurance and what would happen is someone or animal was to get hurt at your event though. Sanctioned events have the insurance coverage and that is why it is good to have sanctioning, but if you got insurance then hats off to you for putting together an event that we can all come and enjoy.
