I was wondering if a lot of people take their horses to a chiropractor? even if your horse is not sore? if so how often?

I use chiropractors, and get my horses worked on 2-3 times a year. I use Roger Lewis, and had Reo King work on one of my horses once. Reo was amazing, my horses is very tightly wound, doesn't like to be touch, and doesn't like people. But he fell in love with Reo, he was following him around the pen, and was SO calm! Both guys do great work.

I do equine kinesiology and massage therapy and equine reiki out here in Saskatchewan. Alot of my clients do regular maintenance of their horses. People are starting to understand how important it is to keep their horses feeling good. You can look at it as though it was us. I go to a massage therapist about every three weeks because she helps keep my migraines at bey. The same thing applies to our horses. The better they feel, the better they work and it ends up costing less in the long run. If we wait until something is really wrong with them, they could be out of the arena for a while. I hope this makes some kind of sense. :-D

I was just wondering where Roger Lewis is located and how do you get a hold of Rio King. I am looking for somebody to adjust one of my horses. More info would be great! Thanks

I would recommend Dr. Sue Legge at West Wind Vet CLinic if you are anywhere near Edmonton. She is awesome, explains everything in a way you can understand it and is fantastic with the horses.

Does Roger Lewis work in front of the shoulder? One guy I got wouldnt work past the shoulder. I have a gelding that holds his head a bit cocked to the left, and refuses the right lead and wont tip his nose into a right turning circle. So I was thinking of having his neck worked on....?
